Stillness

When things are heavier and harder it’s tempting (and instinctive) to rush to a big quick fix or grand change. Looking back on the last year, the highlights and safe spaces (for me) have felt like the times where urgency hasn’t been a driving force. Comfort and joy have felt much less like dramatic surgery and much more like a very slow (and well placed!) drip/infusion.

I’ve been thinking on these words :

“Desires that arise in agitation are more aligned with your ego. Desires that arise in stillness are more aligned with your soul.” (Cory Muscara)

While traditional stillness is hard to come by in our house, I’m challenged to seek/reimagine moments of stillness in ways I might not expect.

Wishing you many moments of space, stillness and slowness this year and cheering on your soul-aligned desires

(Big love to the beautiful Chase)
